Short story....my application was approved. I received an email that it was funded by donors and I would get an email when the check was issued (about a week they said).

7 weeks later - no emails, no check, and they've ghosted me. After responding to emailed questions about the funded application for a couple weeks, they stopped all communications. It's very sad to get someone's hope up that is in financial distress, then not follow through. I wish they had never let me know it was funded - they could have kept the money (which is what they did anyway) and I would have never known the difference.

I just wish there was a way I could let the donors know that the money they donated did not go to the cause they thought it would.

Once you write your "thank you" note to donors, you're locked out of the applications. Again, very disappointing.
